CNX-901 THE VALLEY OF MAE WANG
A pleasant day trip combined with some activities in the wilderness of the Mae Wang Valley, located approx.
50 km to the southwest of Chiang Mai at the foothills of Doi Inthanon. Pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai at time 08.30.
Drive for one hour via Hangdong and Sanpatong to a small elephant camp. From here start riding on an elephant back through
the jungle for about one hour. Afterwards take short walks for a visit of a Hmong- and Karen hill tribe village. Later
relax at a small waterfall. Chance to take a cool bath. After lunch break enjoy a trip on a bamboo raft down the river
(it can get a bit wet!). Finally return to Chiang Mai. You are back at your booked hotel in the northern capital by late
afternoon. Available as a private tour or joining the group.
CNX-902 BICYCLE TRIP
This is an easy leisure cycling trip and ideal for the majority people with an average level of fitness.
It will show you the area south of the northern capital and the routing will be in the Ping Valley for most parts. In
the morning at approx. time 08.30 you will be picked up from the hotel. Start cycling and leave the city in southern
direcion and first follow the Ping River. See a colorful Chinese temple, fruit orchards, farmland and passing rural
Thai villages. Stop also at Ban Tawai, a village which is famous for its woodcarving artisans. Lunch on route at a
local restaurant. On your way back to the city have a look to the temple and ruins of Wiang Khum Kam, the former Mon
city of the 12th century. By late afternoon you will be back at the hotel in Chiang Mai. Total cycling is approx. 45 km
(mainly flat). Available as a private tour or joining the group. On request there is also a half day cycling tour possible.
CNX-903 JUNGLE FLIGHT
This is definitely a day trip for the more adventurous one's. In the morning pick up from the hotel in
Chiang Mai. Transfer by car for approx. one hour in northern direction to Doi Lungka area, which belongs to Thailand's
five highest mountains. Great views and breathtaking scenery await you inside this 1500 years old rainforest. On arrival
get some information from the sky rangers, who will assure for your saftey during this trip. Then you wil soar through
the jungle on an adventure of a lifetime as you fly over 6 km of the longest and highest zip lines. This approx. 1000 m
above sea level with platforms that are 50 m high. You can choose between package A (22 platforms/15 ziplines) and package
B (34 platforms/22 ziplines. after a short village tour transfer back to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon. Available as
a group tour only.
CNX-904 CHIANG DAO DISCOVERY
This guided tour will bring you to the Chiang Dao area, located approx. 70 km to the north from downtown
Chiang Mai. Beside some of the usual sights it gives you the chance to see rural Thai country life as well, but also a
visit to some hill tribe villages. In the morning at time 08.30 pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai. Drive for about one
hour to an elephant camp. Watch these giants take their morning bath and demonstration of hauling logs etc. An optional
elephant ride, as well as a trip on a bamboo raft can be arranged. Continue on some back roads to the east of Chiang Dao,
where you visit some villages of various hill tribes, such as the Palong, Lisu and Akha. Lunch on route. Then go on and
explore the mystic Chiang Dao cave temple. On the way back to Chiang Mai take a stop at a local countryside market and
an orchid farm. You will be back at the hotel in Chiang Mai by late afternoon. Private tour only.
CNX-905 THAI COOKERY SCHOOL
You won't be a chief cook after that day, but for sure you will be able to cook some of the well known Thai
dishes. In the morning you will be picked up from the hotel. First tour the local market, where you learn more about Thai
vege- tables, herbs and spices. Return to the family style cookery school, located in the old part of the city and start
to cook your lunch, which includes some of the most popular Thai dishes, as well as making curry paste. The challenge is
how to obtain the necessary ingredients to cook a real Thai dish. Finally also learn how to prepare some of thewell known
desserts. You will be back at the hotel in the middle of the afternoon. OPTION: On request there is a half day cookery
course possible as well. This package is available only to join the group only.
CNX-906 DOI INTHANON
A one day tour to Doi Inthanon National Park, which is also the highest peak (2565 m) of Thailand. In the morning
pick up from the hotel. During this full day tour you will see picturesque waterfalls, royal pagodas, Hmong- and Karen hill
tribe villages, as well as a royal farming project, which has the object to support the poor farmers and hill tribe people in
this area. Take a short walk through dense forest near the peak. Lunch on route at a local restaurant. Drive back to Chiang Mai
and arrive at your booked by late afternoon. On your return to the northern capital a side trip (only possible if you book the
private tour) to the Haripunchai temple in Lamphun or to the woodcarving village of Baan Tawai can be arranged. Available as
private tour or joining the group.
CNX-907 GOLDEN TRIANGLE FLASH
This is a full day tour for people with less time and who don't mind to sit in a car for many hours, as more than
500 km are travelled during this trip. Early in the morning (approx. time 07.00) pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai. Travel up
north to Chiang Rai and further on via Chiang Saen to the well known Golden Triangle at the Mekong River, where the 3 countries
of Thailand, Myanmar (Burma) and Laos and Myanmar do meet. Here an optional short boat trip can be arranged. Drive on to Mae Sai,
the market town at the Burmese border. After lunch travel through the mountains along hill tribe villages (stop at some of them)
until Ban Thaton, where you have another break at a riverside restaurant on the banks of the Kok River. Finally return back to
Chiang Mai and arrive at the hotel early evening. Available as a private tour or joining the group.
CNX-908 LAMPANG DISCOVERY
This one day tour will show you some highlights of Lampang province, approx. 90 km south of Chiang Mai. In the morning
(approx. time 08.30) pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai. Drive first to the Elephant Conservation Center and Elephant Hospital in
Hang Chat. Go on to the buzzling market of Tung Kwiang. Finally arrive in Lampang where you visit the ancient temple Wat Phra That
Lampang Luang, as well as the Burmese temple Wat Sri Chum. On route back to Chiang Mai take a short side trip to Lamphun province,
incl. a stop at beautiful Haripunchai temple. If time allows, then some sightseeing in Chiang Mai can be added. You will be back at
the hotel by late afternoon. OPTION: Instead driving back on the main road via Lamphun there is the opportunity to take the scenic
route on small and winding roads via Jaeson National Park and Mae Kampong, where you will travel along some dense mountain jungle
and small, remote villages. Private tour only.
CNX-909 CHIANG MAI CITY
This program will show you some major highlights of the northern capital. In the morning (approx. time 08.30) pick up
from the hotel. The sightseeing starts with the landmark of the city, which is Doi Suthep mountain temple with its great views to
the city. Go on for a tour in the old part of the town and see some of the ancient temples, such as Wat Chedi Luang with the city
pillar or Wat Chiang Man. After lunch take a side trip to see the ruins and temples of Wiang Kum Kam, the former Mon city from the
12th century. Later take a stroll over bustling local market. Finally you have the opportunity to visit some of the local handicraft
factories in Bosang, such as woodcarving, silver making, lacquer ware, umbrella painting etc. You will be back at the hotel in Chiang
Mai by late afternoon. Private tour only.
CNX-910 NORTHERN SAFARI
An interesting and enjoyable one day program, also very well suited for families with kids. In the morning at approx. time 08.30 you will
be picked up from the hotel in Chiang Mai. You leave the city in northern direction until you reach the elephant camp in Mae Mae Taeng area, which is
located approx. 50 km from the northern capital. Watch these giants take their daily bath. After the elephant show take a one hour ride through the
wilderness. Afterwards take a short ride back to the camp with an ox cart. After lunch enjoy a ride downriver on a bamboo raft. Finally drive back to
Chiang Mai. On route take a brief stop at an orchid farm before you wil be back at the hotel in the late afternoon. Available as a private tour or

CNX-911 DOI PUI MINI TREK
This is a one day soft trekking tour in the Doi Suthep/Doi Pui mountain area, which also includes a visit to the famous Suthep temple, the
landmark of Chiang Mai. In the morning at approx. time 08.30 you will be picked up from the hotel. Pass through the northern capital and then up towards
to Doi Suthep. Take a brief stop at Monthatarn waterfall. From here start trekking for just less than one hour to another small waterfall with the
opportunity to take a cool bath. Then go on trekking for approx. 2 hours through the forest to a white Hmomg hill tribe village. Take a stroll in the
village and have your picnic lunch. In the afternoon drive further up to the summit of Doi Pui, then pass Phuping Palace before arriving at scenic Suthep
mountain temple. Visit the temple and enjoy the great views to the northern capital. Finally you will be driven back to the city and arrive at the hotel

CNX-912 FLIGHT OF THE GIBBON
This is definitely an unique soft adventure one day trip, where you ride up in the rainforest using a secure body harness suspended from a
steel cable strung within the treetop canopy. Early in the morning you will be picked up from the hotel in Chiang Mai. Drive for just less than an hour
to the rain forest area of Mae Kampong, which is located approx. 50 km east of the northern capital. On arrival first you get more information about your
soft adventure trip. Then you will spend approx. 3 hours rigged securely, high up in the rainforst canopy, flying from treehouse to treehouse on ziplines.
The total length is about 2 km and during that time you are led by experienced guides, who show you the easy way to be connected to safety lines. After
lunch take a short trek to a nearby waterfall in the forest. Afterwards you have time for a stroll through the picturesque village of Mae Kampong. Finally
you will be driven back to your hotel in Chiang Mai and arrive there by late afternoon. Available as group tour only.
CNX-913 THAI ELEPHANT HOME
Another one day tour with an unique experience. Ban Chang Thai is located in the mountain wilderness, approx. 50 km north from the city of
Chiang Mai. There you have the opportunity to learn how to take care of the elephants like the mahouts (elephant caretaker) do every day. Early morning
pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai and it takes about one hour to reach the camp. There you will introduced to the mahouts and the elephants. First you
will get some useful information. Then learn how to control and direct the elephant. Afterwards guide your elephant in to the river to for it's daily bath,
followed by a ride in the forest. After the lunch break let your elephant take another bath (this time in the mud) before returning to the camp. Late
afternoon transfer back to the hotel in Chiang Mai. This tour is available only in small groups.
CNX-914 HILL TRIBE TREK
A one day tour in the hills east of Chiang Dao for people who like to know about different hill tribe villages combined with some excercise
(trekking). At approx. time 08.00 you will be picked up from the hotel in Chiang Mai and drive to the hills in the Chiang Dao area. On route take a brief
stop st the local market in Mae Malai. Then start walking through the green wilderness. Total trekking time will be approx. 4 hrs. and on route you see
hill tribe villages of the Lahu, Karen, Lisu, Akha and Palong. In the late afternoon you will be transfered back by pick up truck to Chiang Mai. Available
as a private tour or joining the group.
CNX-915 RAFTING ON MAE TAENG RIVER
Another day trip for the more adventurous ones. In the morning pick up from the hotel in Chiang Mai. First take an approx. 1,5 hrs scenic
drive to the starting point of the rafting tour. Then get some instructions and safety equipment. The well trained guides will always be with you during
whole trip. Enjoy the approx. 3 hrs rafting trip (it's 10 km with level 3-4) on the river with some exciting rapids through canyons along a beautiful
mountain wilderness and passing some idyllic villages. In the afternoon you will be transfered back Available as a group tour only. REMARKS: This one day
tour might be suspended during March and April due to low water level. A one hour elephant ride through the green wildernes can be combined with this tour.
